Popular Post Bucky McSwensen Posted November 18, 2019 Popular Post Posted November 18, 2019 Smooth and flavorful at first light. Sweet nuts and baking spices with a very light cedar at the finish. Almost apple pie flavored finish with cinnamon cidery buttery crust. I am in love with this deliciously sweet and decadent smoke. Second third gets hits of dark coffee and a little burnt toast. This is definitely picking up in strength. This has about 3 years on it and clearly has more room to grow. It gets a bit tannic and punchy but still very enjoyable. Lots of white and black pepper kicks. I pick back at my horrible straight cut to realize I missed half the cap. This opens up the draw and gives me bursts of flavor. My finger is covered in tar and I stain my keyboard. Final third continues to be robust and peppery. The sweetness and cakiness have disappeared and replaced with a bitter spicy chocolate. This is still a great stick but has some NC flavor profiles mixed in. The first third was what I was hoping for and it delivered. The rest of the stick was still enjoyable but wasn’t anything too intriguing. The second half shows lots of signs of edges and sharpness that will benefit from more time down. I value this stick at $15 Cost ratio = 0.80 5
